My Allergy Attacks

I’m a mother to two young children. My journey into finding out more allergies started when I began researching for my eczema blog in year 2006. I was having the most severe eczema outbreak ever and did not know what to do. Subsequently, through my own research and trying out some of the remedies myself, I managed to recover. I then shared my findings with many people who have subscribed to my eczema newsletter.

As I delve more into eczema (which was really an allergic reaction), I realised that I’ve got a whole bunch of allergies that I never knew were allergies. I had sinus problems since young but had attributed them to the common cold. I had dust mite allergies, which not just resulted in eczema outbreaks but also a whole bunch of other symptoms. Food allergies can set off a rash and leave me feeling faint and ashen-white, as if my blood just ran out.

Know why I never dared go near pets? It’s not because I don’t want to cuddle them but at the back of my mind, I must have always known that I’m allergic to them.

Hence even after starting my eczema site which has become become quite popular, I decided that I need to also look into my other allergic symptoms. I am tired of feeling run down with sinus, itch, eye infections, etc and never being at my best.

I’m also fortunate that I am at the stage whereby I am ready to combine my knowledge of conventional medicine and alternative treatments. As a researcher and writer, I am putting my investigative, analysis and creative skills to work once again for this site on allergy attacks. Do come back often!
