It is possible to prevent some of your allergy symptoms simply just by avoiding them. For instance, if you find yourself having allergies to cats, dogs or other pets, then you may not want to keep one in your home. If you have one, you should try to keep it away from your bedroom or off your furniture.
To prevent mold or dust allergy symptoms, you need to vaccuum and clean your home often. Sun your mattress or fabric furniture often. Also, checking bedding and other parts of the house for any dander or hair that may cause the allergies to get worse. An allergy dust mites easily sets off an eczema attack for me. So I also do not have carpets at home and have to make sure that all corners of my home are vaccumed regularly.
You can prevent food allergy symptoms by not eating the foods that you are allergic to. You may need to go on on an elimination diet to find out what these are. There are always substitutes that you can turn to. For instance, if you find that you are allergic to dairy, consume soy milk instead.
Having allergies is no fun. Allergies can create a lot of irritation and suffering. Best is to prevent allergy symptoms as much as you can, rather than have to spend time and effort in treating an outbreak.
