Developing a cat or dog allergy is a very common experience but that does not mean that you cannot also go exotic. In fact, your can come from any animal with fur, including mice, hamsters, rabbits and horses.

Then again, it’s not just the mammals. Feathers from birds, dust from snake tanks and algae from fish tanks can cause you a pet allergy. Pet allergy symptoms are virtually the same - runny noses, itchy eyes, wheezing and labored breathing - whether with a cat or dog or any exotic pet.

Prevent algae from growing by keeping your fish tank away from direct sunlight. Change the filters often and buy other fish that eats algae.
