You can prevent allergies with keeping fit. Keeping fit helps build immunity and to become more resistent to allergens.
When you do brisk exercises, you increase the mobility of the immune cells in your body. Great exercises that are especially great in helping you to fight allergies include yoga, qigong, swimming, jogging and bicycling.
You need a regular exercise program for at least half an hour to an hour a day, at least three times a week. Keeping fit to prevent allergies should not be a one day affair. To ensure that you are able to keep to your routine, you really should enjoy the exercise program that you have chosen. Having a group of friends or getting your spouse or loved one to join you can also keep you motivated.
However, do note that over exercising is not helpful. When you do too much exercise, you release stress hormones that can suppress your immune system for many hours instead. This is counter effective.
If you are down with a severe allergy attack, then do not exercise for that few days. If you continue to exercise when you are feeling run down, your immune system is going to break down. A runny nose may just turn into a more severe cold or flu attack.
Also, ensure that you are also getting adequate rest and eating well as you start on a new fitness regime to help prevent allergies. Not paying attention to these factors will not bring you optimum results.
