Filed Under Allergy Attack, Pollen Allergy
You may be one of those who are subsceptible to a pollen allergy. Here are some tips that can be helpful to you:
1. Avoid going outside as much as possible when the pollen counts are high. This doesn’t mean that you can’t go out, but you can minimise your exposure. Also, you will want to go outside prepared for the high pollen counts by watching the news and looking at the weather sites. It is possible to avoid a pollen allergy attack if you do not go out when pollen counts are high.
2. When you do get home, you will want to change your clothes in a room that is private, but in a room that will not spread the pollen spores to the bedroom or other others of the house that you spend a lot of time in. Change your clothes immediately.
3. Do not open the windows in peak counts or drive with your car windows down. You may also want to consider wearing wrap around sunglasses that give more protective eye coverage. In this manner, you can protect your eyes from the pollens in the air. Some people will go as far as placing petroleum jelly inside their nostrils so that the pollen will stick to the bottom of the nose and not enter the nasal passages.
